Delivered a £400m MoD programme 3 months ahead of schedule, an achievement recognised by being awarded the Minister’s Procurement Excellence Award.
Developed, by process mapping and improving internal practices, a revised structure for the Headquarters of the Army’s Training and Recruiting Agency (ATRA), which identified approximately 25% manpower savings.
Played a pivotal role in re-energising the Royal School of Military Engineering (RSME) Public Private Partnership, a 30 year £2.5Bn project, with a contribution described by the Chief Executive as “practical, energetic and decisive.”
Revolutionised the way in which Europe’s largest training provider monitored and tracked the huge volume of information created resulting in significant time savings and an increase to the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation.
Initiated and managed a comprehensive manpower and equipment review of a geographically dispersed operational military unit. Subsequently implemented the recommended organizational changes resulting in a significant increase to the Unit’s operational effectiveness.
Co-authored, on behalf of the Defence Technology and Innovation Centre, a report on the Social and Organizational impacts of emerging technology on new military capabilities. The report was presented to the Ergonomics Annual Conference 2009.
Increased the profitability of a number of companies in the SME sector by ensuring that all their business processes worked coherently towards an agreed objective that was clearly communicated and well understood by all members of staff.
