Mandy is an experienced and skilled facilitator of positive change in both individuals and organizations. She brings a unique combination of skills and experience to the team: extensive commercial experience, systemic awareness and knowledge of organizational structures and processes, a deep understanding of human behaviour and capabilities, and an ability to bring these together as a highly skilled coach and facilitator.
Amanda has amassed twenty years of experience which span the public, private and voluntary sectors. In that time she has held strategic and managerial responsibilities for marketing, public and community relations, personnel (training, development, welfare, recruitment), and internal communications and administration.
Amanda began her working life with a commission in the Royal Navy. During her eight year career she served in both the
national and international arenas, principally in the south west of England and with NATO in Italy. Her roles included personnel management, the management of communication systems, public and community relations development, the provision of executive support to senior officers, VIP level event management (including Royalty and Foreign Diplomatic events), organizational re-structuring and new organization development and set up.
She followed that first career with a combination of employed and consulting roles. A common theme running through all these was the invitation to either develop a new function or department or to affect strategic change in an organization to enhance market positioning, commercial viability and performance. She has worked with the food industry, legal services, professional training provision, and national and local charities. Most recently her public sector experience has been extended to include completing a significant piece of organizational research with the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary. In her consulting capacity she has worked with sole traders, family businesses, partnerships, medium sized businesses, regional service providers, and large multi site organizations.
As a result, Amanda has an exceptional understanding of the needs and dynamics of people, organizations and the relationships and structures upon which they seek to build future success. Through her skill as a facilitator, coach and trainer she has developed a reputation for affecting commercially viable change, as well as optimising performance for both individuals and their employers.
When not actively engaged with work, Amanda can be found rowing on the River Dart or running around the South Hams lanes.
